Auschwitz Concentration Camp

In late April 1986, the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in the Ukrainian town of Pripyat had a catastrophic accident that caused one of the reactors to leak radiation at an alarming rate. The plant and town were evacuated and other than a brave group of scientists and construction workers, the area has been abandoned ever since. Guided tours are the only way to see the site, and the running historical narration you’ll get will add a tremendous value to the amazing sights you’ll witness.

Colditz Castle - The German World War II prisoner-of-war camp is the site of many daring escape attempts by Allied officers. The castle sits on a steep hill overlooking the Mulde River as it flows through the small Saxon town of Colditz, about 30 miles southeast of Leipzig.

Kiev - A city on the brink of something magical. Plagued by its recent history and even its current events in the eastern part of Ukraine, Kiev is going through its adolescent years and the results are nothing short of inspiring. Whether you are into religious history, hip neighborhoods, or brutal architecture, Kiev will surprise you and leave you pining to book a return trip to witness the capital’s newest developments.

Warsaw - Poland's capital impresses with its resilience, respect for history, contemporary style and sheer joie de vivre. Warsaw has endured the worst history could throw at it, including near destruction at the end of WWII. Much has been rebuilt and the fragments that survived are now preserved in a superb selection of museums and cultural storehouses.

The Chernobyl Disaster was a nuclear accident that occurred on Saturday 26 April 1986, at the No. 4 nuclear reactor in the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, near the city of Pripyat in the north of the Ukrainian SSR. It is considered the worst nuclear disaster in history and is one of only two nuclear energy disasters rated at seven, the maximum severity on the Nuclear Event Scale.

Kraków & Auschwitz - The Polish city of Kraków is located near the border with the Czech Republic and is known for its well-preserved medieval core and Jewish quarter, its old town and Auschwitz, the largest of the German Nazi concentration camps and extermination centers where over 1.1 million men, women and children lost their lives.

Prague is the equal of Paris in terms of beauty. Its history goes back a millenium. Enjoy the Prague skyline from the Vltava River, on one side, you’ll see the spires towering over the Old Town, and on the other you’ll find the Lesser Town, a medieval district that’s got a lot more to offer than its name suggests.
